Hand Crafted Wines

The Vineyard of Pasterick is nestled on the western hillside of beautiful Dry Creek Valley with ten acres planted to Syrah and Viognier. Our annual production is approximately 1,000 cases of Estate Wines produced with methods used in the Northern Rhone in France. We believe wine is made in the vineyard, and strive to let the fruit be expressed in each bottle. To book a tasting email alexis@pasterickwine.com, or call (707) 433-4655 x1

The Wines of Pasterick: Made in the Vineyard

The Vineyard

Our focus is sustainable hillside vineyard farming practices, and our challenge is to keep the vibrant and very vigorous Syrah and Viognier vines and property healthy and in balance, so they can continue to create memorable fruit and wine. To us, sustainable means working with environmentally sound, economically feasible and socially equitable practices, all of which we’re striving to continually improve upon. We feel we are stewards of our land, and while it is “ours” now, we are simply taking care of it, so that when the time comes, it’s just as beautiful a home for future generations.

In October of 2012 our vineyard was certified by the CSWA; the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance. Our certification states that our vineyard adopts and implements sustainable winegrowing practices according to the industry's code of best practices and commits to a "process of continuous improvement" in these practices.

And The Family

Our property has been planted in grapes since the early 1900s. The Vineyard of Pasterick was established in 1999, producing wine commercially since 2001 … just after the turn of the current century. Our wine comes from 10 acres of steep hillside vineyard blocks that surround our winery. Everything we produce is estate grown. We make Syrah, Rosé of Syrah, and Viognier right here on the winery etate. Our award winning Reserve Cabernet is sourced from right here in Dry Creek Valley.

Craft The Wine

The wine cave is the heart of the winemaking operation. We age our Syrah inside the cave for three years in 400 liter Taransaud French oak puncheons. Our Rosé and Viognier wines are barrel aged in the cave in 225 liter experienced French Oak barrels for six to nine months. Much of the work done throughout the year happens in the cave, including wine tastings, which can be arranged by appointment
